HannaHugs is a mother-daughter enterprise. Inspired by co-founder Hannah, HannaHugs and was born during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Alayne, a specialist Dyslexia Teacher, is a mum of five. During the Covid pandemic, she was forced to cut back on her face-to-face teaching and wanted to start an online business that also supported people with learning disabilities. 

Her eldest daughter Hannah, is a happy, fun loving young lady, who also has Down's Syndrome. Her infectious smile radiates love and Hannah thrives on being kept busy. With support, she has always enjoyed volunteering and working.

During the pandemic, Hannah returned to her family home. After a few months shielding, it became clear that going back to her regular work routine was not going to be an option. Along with the support of her family, Hannah and Alayne set about thinking what sort of work would Hannah enjoy. Hannah loves clothing, animals and hats, thus leading to the birth of HannaHugs!

Under Hannah's supervision, Alayne operates the main online store, offering original fun designs such as hugging animals and charity coloured apparel. The store also features a section on Hannah’s hats , where you can select from a range of brightly coloured beanie and baseball hats. The hats are fulfilled by Hannah and her friends where they are picked, wrapped then dispatched. Hannah will also enclose a special message, thanking you for your support. She is genuinely excited about receiving your order!

We truly believe in giving back. Over the years, so many charities have supported Hannah. Now we have the opportunity to support them. We are proud that 10% of all HannaHugs' profits will be donated to charity.
